Judy's Rose...a tweak

After living with Judy's Rose for just a little while, I decided it was too cool in the blues.  So, I did some glazing with yellows over the blue leaves and rewet the background to the upper left and mopped some yellows around.  Also tweaked the rose with a bit more dark gamboge/perm rose mix here and there and it made such a difference in brightening up the painting.  Funny how those little glazes make such a great difference.

      Thanks, Maria...glazing isn't one of my strong suits, but it works sometimes.

    That glazing was a great idea, the rose looks even more lively now, and the bottom area is just pure love, so much depth Mollie, I would have loved to see you painting this one for sure <3

      Ah...you're such a sweetheart, Teresa. I love the darks and go a bit overboard, but it's hard to stop dropping in color when you like that drama.

      Thanks Deb...you know how you can post a painting and how it looks different than when you think you're finished. Glazing isn't one of my strong suits, but sure do like what it does when you need a change.
